HOMEThe White Dingo is a great Australian tale from the bush, set in the harsh environment of the Australian Kimberley Ranges. It is heart-wrenching and confronting whilst being entertaining, amusing and educational. It is a book that all lovers of a good story, wildlife and the outback should read. The author, Jack Elstone, has worked in various remote areas of the Australian outback including the Great Victoria Desert, the Channel Country and the Kimberley Ranges. From his experience of living and working in the outback, he has developed a huge interest in the area of Conservation Management and the impact of man creating artificial environments. In the foreword to his book The White Dingo he explains that the story is partly an attempt to empower the reader on decision making in regards to conservation of habitat and the culling of native species. He leaves it in the hands of the reader to decide the outcome of the issues mentioned. To learn more about the plight of dingos please visit the WA Dingo Association. |
